Americans with Disabilities Act
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits employment discrimination on the basis of
disability, in job application procedures, hiring, advancements, discharge, compensation, and
training, as well as in other terms and conditions of employment. The requirements
of the ADA apply to employers who have 15 or more employees, including part-time
employees, working for them for 20 or more calendar weeks in the current or preceding
calendar year.
